02/04/2008 The Move to Tampa
The last few months have been eventful as we have moved to Tampa! Getting up and running as well as networking has kept us busy- not to mention the extra work! The Tampa Bay Area has an extremely active production community and we are looking forward to contributing as much as we can!

09/03/07 Biofoam Video for Phoresia.org
Stop on over at Phoresia and check out the video we produced on the sustainable surfboard blanks by Biofoam. Shaper Tom Neilson is the subjecct of the timelapse showing the process of shaping a custom surfboard. This was a project we had wanted to do for some time, and having Phoresia, Tom Neilson, and Homeblown Foam as the parties involved made it a satisfying project on numerous levels.

08/08/07 Motion Tracking Sample
It being Prep Sports time, we find ourselves putting together recruiting videos this time of year. Some of our clients request a little extra flair to highlight the featured player, our Motion Tracking Sample shows off a couple of tricks to get this done.

06/29/07 Long Time, No Updates!
Sorry for the lack of updates, we have been slammed! Things have quieted down a little, at least enough to update the news page! We've got a bunch of new projects done including the Johnny Cash Show, a sports video, and other odds and ends. Fire us an email if you'd like some samples! We also completed a new wedding demo, we'll have it online shortly- you can email us for a copy in the meantime. In other big news we have added another editing suite to accomodate the extra work. This state of the art Final Cut Studio 2 suite includes a portable editing system as well for location editing, audio recording, and production. Thanks for checking in, and we'll keep this page updated for you!

01/22/07 Johnny Cash Tribute Live Concert Video
LightMast has begun pre-production on a 2 hour live concert of a Johnny Cash Tribute Concert set for taping on 03/09/07! This production will feature Ben and Dana Marney among others performing selected songs by various Nashville artists of this era. The video will be used mainly for booking and promotional purposes by the performers. We are really excited about this upcoming 4 camera shoot!

01/20/07 Channel Islands Promo Video is Released!
The 2007 Channel Islands Surfboards video is out and in circulation. LightMast supplied footage for the video of team rider Mike DeTemple shot in late 2006. Check back as we'll be adding a link to the video soon!

01/19/07 Back at the Surfpark!
A pre-dawn drive found LightMast headed back to the Ron Jon Surfpark with Ron Jon's Team Rider Mike DeTemple and Promotions Manager Keith Mahon. More test waves were run and imagery was captured for use in a few ongoing projects for the Ron Jon's Surfpark. The reef technology is really coming along and it's exciting to be a part of this project!

01/11/07 O'Neill SI Pro Wraps!
Congrats to CJ Hobgood, winner of the 2007 O'Neill Sebastian Inlet Pro! LightMast was shooting at the event every day for two separate projects. Some footage is headed over to our friends at 321 Entertainment while the rest is destined for an upcoming music video (we've got a great concept set up for the band).......stay tuned for the official announcement! 12/19/06 LightMast Goes Live with Adventure Online TV
LightMast Media's first actions sports short, "Motivate", has gone live on Adventure Online TV! This is the first in a series of projects for Adventure Online to be produced by LightMast. We expect to complete at least 6 action sports shorts per year for distribution through Adventure Online.

12/16/06 LightMast Completes Production for Palm Bay Ford Commercial
LightMast was contracted by CBC Ads of Maine for production services at Palm Bay Ford. CBC is an automotive advertising agency that produces ads for a large number of dealers throughout the nation. We hope to continue our relationship with CBC in the future on projects throughout the southeastern United States.

12/14/06 LightMast Shoots at The Ron Jon's Surfpark
As a continuation of our ongoing partnership with 321 Ent, LightMast traveled to Orlando to spend a day shooting at the new Ron Jon's Surf Park! We joined Aaron Cormican, Alec Parker, Justin Ellingham, Evan Geiselman, and the Surfparks LLC crew to test the training pool out (the park is still under construction). Kevin Colber shot plenty of footage including a great interview with Dr. Kerry Black, inventor of the Versa Reef system.
